It can be isolating as an author because it is just you and your computer. Finding a writing community has been so helpful. One of the groups I have joined is Chicago North Romance Writers.
One of the ways you can support authors is by seeing them at the events they are at. Authors love to see readers and meet new writers. Recently, I had the opportunity to see some of the Chicago North Romance Writers at the Poplar Creek Public Library Author Fair.
Many libraries have Author Fairs that feature local writers and allow patrons to find new authors and books to read. Have you attended one of these events, met an author, and become a new reader?
Remember to take care of yourself and relax with a book.
