FAVORITE PAST TIMES

One of my favorite past times besides reading is watching Marvel movies. Of course, my children and husband roll their eyes because I am a huge Marvel fan and can get a little excited.

To quote Iron Man

“…Hero is someone who is concerned about other people’s well-being and will go outf his or her way to help them- even if there is no chance of a reward”

There are many things over the years I have learned from my children. One lesson they have taught me is to find comfort in movies you can watch over and over. Marvel movies are my comfort movies, knowing the outcome of the film gives a person a feeling of peace and predictability. In a Marvel movie, our superheroes save the day and make the world safe again. I love the creativity the superheroes use and the way they interact with each other. They believe they have the power to make a difference.

“…Hero is someone who is concerned about other people’s well-being and will go out of his or her way to help them- even if there is no chance of a reward.”

~ Stan Lee, the creator of Marvel

The world Stan Lee created makes us want to believe in humanity and that all things are possible. Even though the world is under attack by real or make-believe forces, they work together, harnessing their powers with a little humor to make the world safe again. Sometimes it is the best they can do for now. Better to regroup and create a better plan.

With these turbulent times in the world around us, I hope we all provide help where we can. Giving our time and talents can help shape the world into one even our superheroes would be proud of.
