Happy December

Hello, my lovely readers-

I wanted to take a moment to say how thankful I am for my family and friends. I am genuinely grateful for you all.

November started one of my favorite family traditions. Since our children were little, we would go downtown Chicago for the lighting of the Magnificent Mile. While there, we stopped at the American Girl Place, Watertower, and Macy’s to see the store windows.

We started this tradition, which is important because my husband proposed to me in a horse and carriage in front of the old water tower during the Christmas season. We would watch the parade with our children in the same spot for years.

As parents of adult children, having all of them home at the same time is hard to navigate. This year, they were all home the weekend after Thanksgiving and planned a trip downtown to all the places we took them as kids in November.

We had a wonderful time watching them take us around the city and find new places to go. When we started this tradition, we never dreamed it would mean so much to us all these years later.

Here are a few pictures from the places we would take their pictures.

What are some of your family traditions during the Holiday season?

Thank you for stopping by, and have a wonderful Holiday season!

Kat
